THE RISE OF THE BHARATYA JANATA PARTY IN FESTUNG EUROPA -PLAY THE GAME OLD BOYS PLAY THE OLD GAME IN CIRCUS MAXIMUS VON FESTUNG EUROPA - NOSTRADAMUS SONG - THE RISE OF HISTER IN HISTERIA IN THE HINDU NATIONALIST PARTY

VISAKHAPATNAM: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activists staged a protest in front of the party office at Ramnagar on Sunday against the decision of leaders to handover two Lok Sabha Seats, including Visakhapatnam and Araku, for the upcoming elections to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The TDP workers said that the Vizag Lok Sabha and Vizag North seats should not be handed over to the BJP but should instead be retained by the TDP.

"We can't go against the decision of the party, but we are not happy with the decision. The cadre is not happy with this decision because important seats are now going to the BJP, which really doesn't have much of a cadre base in the district," former corporator Mukka Muthyala Naidu, who participated in the protest with other TDP leaders including Emandi Raman and Annappareddy Vani, told TOI.

"How can the party give two parliamentary seats in one district to BJP? There are so many districts in the Seemandhra region. They could have given seats from other places," said another party activist.

"We are not against an alliance, but there is no need to go after BJP when the TDP itself stands a good chance in the state. After elections, if they want they can make an alliance. If BJP wins it'll be mainly because of the support of TDP and definitely not because of its own strength," said the activist.

"The party has not been in power for 10 years now and so many people have been working for the party. Now all of a sudden, if senior leaders take such a decision, it will affect the morale of the party cadre," he said.
AND THE GAME IS ALIVE
